Khara Kapas means 'pure cotton' in Hindi. Founded in 2015 by Shilpi Yadav — a graduate of NID with a short stint at FIDM Los Angeles — the label began with the belief that well-designed clothes made from pure fabrics can bring happiness into everyday life. Hand block printing, hand embroidery, hand weaving: each technique chosen for what it adds to the garment rather than what it signals. Clean cuts, relaxed silhouettes, earthy tones. Made slowly, worn for decades.
